Mindful Self-Compassion 8-Week Training Program
Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC) is a research-based program designed to cultivate the skill of self-compassion based on the work of Kristen Neff, PhD and Christopher Germer, PhD. MSC teaches core principles and practices that enable participants to respond to difficult moments in their lives with kindness, care, and understanding. Rapidly expanding research demonstrates that self-compassion is strongly associated with emotional wellbeing, less anxiety, depression and stress, maintenance of healthy habits such as diet and exercise, and satisfying personal relationships.
Program activities include: meditation, short talks, experiential exercises, group discussion, and home practices. The goal is to support safe exploration of difficult emotions and learn tools to respond to them skillfully when they arise, with an emphasis on enhancing emotional resources and personal capacities. Previous meditation experience not necessary, but helpful. Cost: $400.
