Hello, I’m Katherine Dittmann, registered dietitian/ nutritionist and eating disorder specialist.
Maybe you’re here because you need help with your recovery.
Or maybe you’re just tired of worrying about food all the time.
Maybe you’re sick of hating your body.
Or maybe you aren’t sure if it’s bad enough to need help.
And maybe, just maybe, you want to know how it feels to really take care of yourself.
To be kind to yourself.
To just give yourself a break now and then.
Whatever the reason, I’m glad you are here!
I am devoted to transforming the way people think about food and their bodies for a full and lasting recovery from eating difficulties.
In short, my job is to make eating easier.
How? We use dialogue and curious inquiry to uncover the values, unmet needs, motivations, and hidden meanings behind some of the destructive behaviors and attitudes that are keeping you stuck.
But first, you have to be nourished. That means your care and feeding is always our first priority.
Working with me might be a little different.
Not only do I have over 15 years of experience working in the field of nutrition for eating disorders, I also have special training in embodied approaches to wellness, self-compassion, and practical philosophy.
This means we’ll bring your body into the conversation on one hand and engage your deeper mind on the other as we move through my signature process, Nutrition as Self-Care.
My work is collaborative, inclusive, weight-neutral, non-diet, and trauma-informed with the intention of creating safety as we build trust and confidence.
The process should feel good more often than scary! And if it doesn’t, we’re doing something wrong.
